Same here~ guess i'll have to join EU servers & sadly not Primal data center since it has issues too! while JP data centers had no issues at allDunno about everyone else, but as much as I love balmung and my guild, I'm hopping ship. With the welcome back campaign starting in two days this will go on well into a month, this is practically the beginning of the end. I really don't care about in game money, I'm losing real world money when I can't even log on with my sub and don't even have the ability to play anymore. If I have to switch to a different world so be it.
White Knights keep it up & enjoy being a masochist...
I've seen way too much White Knighting in *THAT OTHER POPULAR MMORPG* and I was REALLY hoping coming here would change that. Nope.
Funny thing is, NA servers have Launch Day congestion issues, while the 3 Japanese Datacenters are all humming along at 110% efficiency. THANKS SQUEENIX <3
We're all newbs, some are just more newbier than others.
Burned out Raider turned Casual turned Tired gamer.
"I'm getting too old for this [REDACTED]"
Japanese expected work ethic is the difference I'm sure. It's not like they staff the Canadian data centers with the same people that staff the Japanese centers.I've seen way too much White Knighting in *THAT OTHER POPULAR MMORPG* and I was REALLY hoping coming here would change that. Nope.

I think in this case it has far less to do with work ethic, and far more to do with the fact SE has two data centers for a continent with over 400 million inhabitants while they have three data centers for their home country and surrounding regions that contain less than half North America's populace.
The population of NA and EU has nothing to do with the player population. There are at least as many if not more players on the Japanese servers than Canadian, despite the fact Japan has half the population (and nearly all of Australia/Oceanic use Japanese servers too).I think in this case it has far less to do with work ethic, and far more to do with the fact SE has two data centers for a continent with over 400 million inhabitants while they have three data centers for their home country and surrounding regions that contain less than half North America's populace.
No seriously, this. We're not any more populated than the JP servers are, and yet I don't see those servers having trouble.
Epiphany: Error Code 2002 refers to the fact that NA/EU are running on server hardware from 2002. Genius!
