I'm also experiencing repeated 2002 errors trying to get on Midgardsormr. I've been tied up all weekend and was really looking forward to playing tonight, but it's looking like it won't happen. I hope SE considers moving one of the congested servers or modifying the launcher so that it doesn't kick you to desktop after this error.

The thing they absolutely need to fix is the queue issue. Not much can be done about the amount of people, but the fact that the queue won't even let you in to wait most of the time (( and its never worked properly since they hastily added it for ARR launch )) is the worst part.

They should just make the data center put everyone in a queue to log in. I would rather have that. than constant erroring out of the game.

So wish these servers worked even half as well as the FFXI ones, maybe they should talk to them and get some pointers, lol

The worst part is having to relaunch the game everytime. Dear god give us a proper login screen so we can just ctrl+v our password over and over for moments like this. It'd at least alleviate some of my personal rage.

Anyone getting Error Code 1012? It says "Version Update Needed" but I'm wondering if its related with the congestion

FOUND A SOLUTION: Change your data center then change it back.

Negative, that strategy unfortunately is not valid. Data center changing does not result in a fix. Neither does DNS flushing or whatever little game they have you playing.

Something else I've noticed...just paused out of curiosity to look at the number of JP servers who still have character creation slots vs those for NA/EU. How much do you really wanna bet that the JP servers are not even having a slight delay in game play at the moment. Preferential Treatment, Please Look Foward to It.

Ok, 4+ hours of 2002 error...maybe break through to a que here and there every hour to be stuck at same number. NOW..I just got through the 2002 error 6 times in a row and was que'd at 252 every time. I mean I que'd 252, exited the entire game, logged back in and still 252 every time. hmmm
