Oh, ok then. True but they could pick the option that is better in the long run, i.e. locking for a longer period.Gilgamesh is a new server from the launch of 2.0. It is NOT a legacy server. It was impossible to know the 2 most populated NA servers would be on Aether. If they had locked transfers, people would be complaining. They didn't lock transfers, people are complaining. SE can't win here.
server lockouts mean nothing. You can, for example, create new characters on Hyperion, even though it's said basically since 2.0's launch that the server is "restricted" and "full." Test for yourself: log into Primal at 3 am and make a new character on Hyperion, when the active population is at a low point. The problem is that all throughout 2.0's lifespan, people have done this, to include Balmung and Gilgamesh. Is that ALSO poor design? Yes. But people would complain they couldn't create a character and play with their friends without some kind of stopgap. They can't win, Lenneth is right.
