Why can't they do what The Elder Scrolls Online did at first launch?! They had TEMPORARY severs set up to handle overflow, literally called "overflow servers" until the population stabilized. And they have only two servers, a European megaserver and a NA megaserver. I was usually thrown into the overflow server during peak times, when a spot would open, you'd be zoned into the actual server. Everything functioned, all the NPCs were there, you could gather and craft, and work on quests and whatnot while on the overflow server.

I hate that the other servers are paying the price for having Balmung AND Gilgamesh in the same Data Center. Took us hours to be able to finally log into Adamantoise.

I'd like to a moment to clarify the errors you're seeing when attempting to log into the Aether data center. These errors are not something to do with a bug, or unexpected problem, on the part of the lobby server or World servers. What you're seeing with these errors is a result of the massive congestion surround Balmung and Gilgamesh (two of the largest NA Worlds), which happen to be on Aether. These two Worlds maintain an almost maximum number of concurrent users because of how large the population is on both of them. The errors you're experiencing are due to the large amount of congestion.

While the Development and Operations teams are working to ensure that the servers are stable and doing everything they can to avoid downtime, unfortunately, this issue a result of the large populations being housed on the Aether data center.



We truly apologize for the frustration experienced and ask for your patience and understanding.

IE "We fucked up and made a very stupid design decision, but we have zero desire to fix or even admit fault. So Just deal with it." I am sort of tired of hearing this reply over and over. The whole "we fucked up, but it take to much time to fix". plz be less lazy dev and give the broken parts of your game.

This will continue through launch, just not sure how long after. Seems odd that the basic connection issues are prevalent when they took pains to instance areas. Do they tack extra time onto subs when the servers are practically inaccessible for 2-3 weeks and subs are 30 days?

dude, when you are smashing relentlessly against the gates of heaven, sometimes you find a crack. Sometimes... Then a lazy grounds keeper notices and pushes you off the ledge...
