Same issue here. Queue that never goes down.
Same issue here. Queue that never goes down.
I just want to enjoy my early access after a long day of work..is that really too much to ask for?
I think free server transfers as well as labeling of the servers would go a long way to evening out the congested servers. It would be the simplest fix, only thing is this transfer will have to be unlimited and only off of certain worlds.
Would be nice if they did some server to data center relocation in the future. Another even better idea but less likely since it cost SE more money is to increase the amount of datacenters to account for increased congestion. I don't think balmung and gilga should occupy the same datacenter. It sucks that my server and the other mid to low population servers on aether are casualties of the high population issues of other servers.
Stopped to grab a bite for dinner, and got afk booted (fine, working as intended). But now it's back to fighting error 2002. Looking forward to everyone logging in for regular access and being entirely unable to log in after work. So much for being on a low pop server
idk about you guys but for me if i just cancel and click log in again on the queue screen it lets me in. it doesnt count down or make me wait. but the error 2002 is really annoying -.-
Annnnd 90k-d while in Keeper of the Lake. *siiigh* Can't exactly join everyone in HW if I can't be in game to clear 2.5 and 2.55Was a good group too.
Oh well..guess that's my luck telling me it's time to eat.
Sad that just to avoid getting kicked, folks have started to afk in crafting mode. Myself included since its taken me 1-2 hours to log in the last few days. God knows how bad it will be when launch hits after maintenance.
There are many things that make this really annoying. 1) It kicks you out of the program completely if it doesn't connect. 2) When you do connect you may end up in a queue that never goes down even though under normal circumstances it should. 3) People have found ways to get around the auto log off thus keeping their character on for as long as they want. 4) For someone like myself who pays for only one character and that character is on Aether there is nothing else you can do except keep trying to get in.
Come on Square. We pay for these accounts. We get that we can't always get on to play, it is in the agreement after all, but when the issue is your server (log in server) that can't handle the load or people or that you allowed to many characters to be created on a given server more than there should be then the issue isn't us players. We don't run or do the tech support on the servers. That is your job as part of this arrangement. The short and sweet of it is you make the game and you set the rules Square. If you allow loop holes to said rules I don't see where it is the players at fault.
I ended up on Balmung because my real life friends were legacy players that ended up there. At this point we're at about 80+ members in our FC; we have a house with a stable and the airship workshop. In short, we're too invested to leave Balmung for a less populated data center. I'm sure that's the case for pretty much everyone or else why wouldn't we move? And SE's answer to that is to have patience and try logging in during less congested hours. But food for thought, those of us on Aether pay the same exact subscription fee as the people on less congested data centers that are able to play while we aren't.
