It's given me number one at least 3 times in the past few hours. At which point I lose all hope that it might actually work this time.
Curiosity might kill the cat, but the cat will get back up. Possibly with treasure.

I say Day 2, cause free day 1, was smooth as can be. No probs at all. I expected the downloader to be cutting me off endlessly, with an 8 gig plus DL to conduct, like it did when updating the base game originally. Adamantoise was of curse full as one could expect for initial leveling areas. FATES were crazy big, but all worked fine. Day 2 (my first problem day,) stared seeing a 5006 and 2002, and I snapped in Technical, before a lucky break got me in yesterday, w/o more than the usual lag spike bit, nothing more.
Now, problem day 2, 2002s and a 5006, as far as the Big Sky country horizon, one can see, where I live. (Course it's cloudy today.)
Is all of Aether on one stinking 56k modem line or something? Common, seriously.
How old a FF player am I? I had FF I from day one on the original Nintendo. =^^=
Yeah it's getting VERY ANNOYING to put username, password and one-time token EVERYTIME on my ps4
Been trying every couple of minutes for the past last hour and all i get is ERROR on Aether data center.
If I connect to JP data centers, it works fine. >_>
i have been trying for awhile now and im tired. not only because of not getting in but no word from square enix as to why or how long its going to take to be able to play i preordered for the early access and well i got in a couple hours all weekend. heres and idea spend the money you get from the game and put it into the severs cause they suck. if you cant handle it on early access the launch is going to crash them.
Why is this happening in the first place? they saw the pre-order volume, they've had past experiences of MAJOR flux of people when the game was launched ARR they should of prepared for this. It's sad to see the server problems but they should of had this under control.
I think it's mostly an issue with the fact that the Data center is in Canada. At least one of the Japanese data centers has just as much stress if not more from population than Aether, and it's doing just fine. So it's most likely a staffing/technical issue.

Okay this is absolutely ridiculous!! This needs to be fix. This is even early access. What do they want us to do when it's the real launch on tuesday??? FIX THIS SQUARE ENIX!!!!!!!Anytime I try to switch to the Aether data center, I get a 5002 or 2002 error/lobby server error. EVERY single other data center works, except Aether. This is unacceptable!! WTF!!!

Separate Gilgamesh and that other server from Aether seems to be the most logical decision.
Also, free transfer off those worlds.
I'd definitely move to another server, but I have so much less to lose than most of you - no worries about the Gil cap or the housing. I'm honestly only on Balmung because that's where my characters from the original launch wound up. But after paying for the sub, for the expansion, plus whatever I paid for the original game, I'm not so inclined to give them MORE money to move my characters to another server. They already have some of my money, and some of a lot of you all, so either improve the infrastructure to ease the situation, or incentivize the server transfers. Heck, it'd be great if they listed servers with populations so you have a rough idea what you're going into.
Offer us free transfers, maybe XP/Gill earning boosts and lock down the max population servers (except for alts). Stifles growth, sure, but they do NOT need to grow any more!

They never should have put Gilgamesh and Balmung together in the first place. They are both huge. I like how in the notice it says they 'happen' to be on the same data server....like it was an accident or they stumbled in there all by themselves. XD
