OMG!!!!! The being locked out isn't enough the que has to be bugged as well not counting down!~!~!~! Balmung has been packed full since 2.0 launch why not increase the size of those 2 servers while restricting all character creation for the full month of release....... And fix that bug!!!!!! (i just wanna play...)

been stuck on 85 in queue for over an hour now

I don't think forced transfers or a server split is necessary or a good idea (due to the things it does to the community), but free transfers to/from selected, low-population, servers, and a moratorium on transfers to high population servers would probably fix things just fine on its own given a bit of time.

I understand having a queue, but why do I have an error even trying to get into the queue and/or during the queue? Why are people being kicked from the queue?

There's a dev post in this thread about that. The error getting into the data center is due to extremely high congestion. Currently there is no workaround, nor a solution. It's just millions of players hammering servers at 1 time, which makes the login servers choke. Essentially we're unintentionally ddossing ourselves.

The error during queue is likely the same thing. The server login queue reaches such a high number that the server cannot handle it and kicks a large chunk of people. Unfortunately, again, there's likely not a solution except to wait for the levels to return to normal.

I am wondering if they're doing manual login server restarts to kick afkers out of the queue though.. It would make sense if they were doing that. Those not afk can simply return, with a higher success rate..

Best solution will be to relocate Balmung or Gilgamesh to different datacenters. I doubt anyone will complain.

People asked for it when they asked for regional servers...be careful what you wish for because everyone logging in at the same time is such a great idea right?
