Balmung was my 1.0 server. Everyone in my old FC rolled new characters elsewhere, so I had no reason to stick around. I personally got weirded out by people RPing in public places constantly while I was trying to do mundane story things. So I paid the transfer fee and yoinked my Legacy Lala over to Lamia where my 2.0 main lived when the population problems really got serious.

Free transfers off the data center are the only solution. There are 1.0 players who feel like they shouldn't have to move, especially if it costs money - it's not their fault their old server got invaded by RPers. There are individuals who don't want to move unless their entire FC movies.

Make a new server on Primal or re-designate the lowest population server existing as the official RP server. Offer free transfers off Balmung and Gilgamesh to select servers (Lamia is also high population and doesn't need anyone transferring over en masse.)

Actually, that woulden't work, and is opposite of what should happen.

RPers arn't the problem here. They're the most invested players Balmung has. I'm kinda miffed you spoke up like this, Catwho. The RPers aren't at fault for the 1.xx server merge. They've maintained the same server from the start of 1.xx, and honestly, hold the most housing on the server by a wide margin. It'd be better that Balmung itself be declaired the official RP server and free transfers and housing refunds be offered off the server for non-rpers, onto a fresh new server so they have equal chances for housing, rather than an underpopulated server with all the housing gobbeled up already.

wasn't Balmung Besiad in 1.0? i might be wrong, but in 1.0 i was Besiad then was moved to balmung when 2.0 came about. can't remember is servers where merged back then though.

Yep, the 1.0 servers were indeed merged before they were shut down. My server was originally Lindblum, but it got "poured" into Sargatanas, as I like to phrase it.

If this is a congestion error, why would it change in the next 2 weeks. I don't want to spend hours every day battling just to log in :x

I like my server over populated. Once the excitement dies things will settle down. Sorry for those who didn't really get to use their early access.

At the very least they need to extend the wait times for raid activation by at least another week. I can't even log in reliably, so the possibility I can be 60 by then is pretty slim.

First, when you pay 13$ per month, congestion is not an acceptable answer. I was with only 2 hours to play today. i tried to log in to the game. after more than 20 lobby server error, i was able to click on my character to go in queue (500 something in the queue). during the queue, i end up with Lobby server again and the game crashed. then, i was with only lobby server error again.

You cannot leave us like that just with a be patient, it is due to congestion...or will you do the same for our monthly payment? will you put us on free access until you fix it?

As for world transfer, it is not a solution. in addition to lose your friends and FC, you lose to much. you cannot transfer your personal house, you cannot have more than 1M gils, you cannot transfer FC room, etc....not really an attractive option in my opinion.

You would think they wouldn't leave us like this but seems they will. Personally it just seems rather odd to say "Please be patient" when there are no plans in the works to fix this issue. Patient for what? Yes the servers will quiet down some in a month or so (we hope) but its an ongoing issue for some time now that is only made worse during times like this. The official launch is going to crush the data center into the ground if it can't handle early access.

Also even if it does become more accessible in a month, what about the early access/month of subs that have been paid? Its all very....frustrating.
