    It has nothing to do with a connection of any kind. It's literally the playerbase overloading the servers. Yes, they could allocate more space on the servers, but they know, from 2.0, it's a temporary thing, so from a business standpoint, it's kind of pointless. It's not that people will leave due to a bad experience. it's that the large group of people who just go in to do a quick review on the expansion, or to just try out the shiny new au'ra and new jobs will all leave once they've had their fill.

    Not solid reasoning. If it's a temporary issue that they know for a fact is going to last a few weeks, then they need to allocate extra space for those few weeks. From a business standpoint, it is a bad idea to take someone's money and then refuse them access to a product. Temporary inconvenience or not, this is an ongoing problem that Square seems to have, and has made zero effort to recompense or help dislocated players, instead relying on silence.

    Aside from that, being unable to log in after subscribing tends to leave a pretty shitty taste in one's mouth, and reviewers don't tend to look kindly on games they can't even play.
