    Dark Knight - Cross Class Skills

    Was wondering what is everyone taking for Dark Knight Cross Class skills?

    Required
    Provoke - No Brainer

    Good Options
    Convalescence - Increased Heals is good.
    Foresight - Another Defensive CD.
    Bloodbath - Self Healing is good
    Awareness - Stops you from getting crit, not the best but decent.
    Mercy Stroke - OCD Damage and possible heal (unreliable though), but cooldown is a little long.
    This have saved me a bunch of time though with the heal either when i'm soloing or in a dungeon if the healer dies to mechanics/aoe and i can eat an add.

    Maybe
    Flash - Not sure about this one since DRK actually need their MP for stuff unlike WAR who can use it after Berserk. Untraited version don't even blind. DRK also have unleashed which cost a little more but also does damage.
    Fracture - Not sure if it is worth it for the untraited version.

    Bad Options
    Savage Blade - Don't know why a combo skill is a cross class option
    Skull Sunder - See above

    Instead of these two abilities I wish SE would change the cross class options to maybe these skills:
    Berserk - great ability but it's probably too much of a signature ability of WAR since they are kinda like berserkers.
    Thrill of Battle - a great CD and Heal

    Rampart / Sentinel - Great defensive CD
    Fight or Flight - a great DPS CD

    Provoke, Convalescence, Foresight and Bloodbath are the only ones i see as a must have. Awareness is probably the only one left that might have any use that's worth it. Someone else who probably has a bit more play time than me can probably explain more im only about to ding 52.

    As an OT awarness is a no Brainerd people say it's terrible this or that but trust me it's noticeable to yiur healers when you don't pop it and you are the OT that picks up the adds.

    Fracture and Flash are both bad. Fracture is a lesser version of Scourge, isn't worth the TP and is a waste of a potential defensive cross class skill. Flash only offers blind, but DRK can do it as well (though it consumes a bit of MP).

    Mercy Stroke is okay, but since DRK can currently get 20% hp/mp from mobs, Mercy Stroke can be overlooked. If you can hit Mercy Stroke consistently, take it over Awareness. Even then, I'd be more inclined to take Awareness.

    Flash only dose blind By PLD since a trait that gives it.

    My cross class skills are. Provoke. Conven, foresight, bloodbath and at the moment i m expermaiting with flash and unleashed to see which would be better to use.

    Provoke, convalescence, foresight, and mercy stroke are a given IMO. They are clearly the best of the cross-class abilities.

    The last slot is where it gets a bit dicey. Bloodbath has limited utility with DRK as many of our abilities (unmend, unleashed, etc.) do magic-based damage. The healing benefits of bloodbath ONLY apply to physical damage. Awareness is very situational and isn't very reliable. For me i'll probably stick with bloodbath as it seems to provide a slightly larger benefit than awareness. I'd be interested to know what others think.

    I would think that unleashed would be better hands down because of the added damage benefits. Is there a large difference in MP costs? that to me would be the only reason you would even consider flash is if it had significantly reduced mp cost. Although you might be able to argue that you'll take less damage while using flash because its not nearly as obnoxious or blinding. Unleashed makes it much more challenging to see enemy attack indicators on large pulls.

    I take it for the extra DPS. I rarely try to time it correctly, just use it off cool down.

    It was a fairly easy choice for me:

    -Provoke (like you say, no brainer)
    -Foresight (can't have too many defense cooldowns)
    -Bloodbath (not going to save your life in a party, but nice for soloing)
    -Convalescence (Extra healing in a party = good)
    -Awareness (We don't have a shield and are a little squishier, so blocking crits is good)

    The rest are pretty much useless.
    -Without the Blind effect from Flash, Unleash is much better.
    -Mercy Stroke is meh. Not worth giving up one of the others.
    -Don't need Fracture since we have Scourge.
    -Savage Blade + Skull Sunder... never understood why combo actions are even offered...
