THe max speed of sata1 is 187.5mb/sec. They say 150mb/sec, probably for convenience adn rounding, but it's probably a little more, reduced from 187.5mb/sec for overhead and buffer communication.

Both Agility3 and Solid3 ssd's by OCZ have a horrible rap for reliability. almost every review of ownership over 4 months says the drive dies at the 3-4 month mark. The 120gb solid3 is on newegg's shell shocker today for $119, and I was about to buy one, until I saw the reviews. Dead, bsod, errors, etc. I think I shall wait a wee bit longer before sinking my $$ into an SSD.

Most people who don't have an issue never comment, So unless something is perfect you always see more bad reports then good. I'm not discounting the issues, I know one person who had some issues but a lot more who haven't. (ok so its only 13 people total but meh)
My SSD is only 1 month old (agility 3) but I've yet to have any issue with it, but time will tell I guess.
I did a lot of reading and pondering but noticed a lot of the complaints tailed off much earlier in the year, baring a few but no more then you would expect for anything.
An a good chunk of the Dead issues were user error (they weren't actually dead) and the error a rather big Firmware issues that's been resolved as far as i understand it now.
edit: Agility 3 120GB.

Well, i talked to two friends who recently assembled new computers. They have the same SSD (agility 3, 120gt) as me, and they're both getting random bluescreens.
I've been trying to get as much info as possible, and it would seem they have all recent drivers and firmwares, there's no overheating issues and everything sounds all good considering the setup as a whole.
Only their RAM's are not tested and certified for dual channel use. That could be the one causing BSoD's. Then again, after they contacted the retailer, he openly admitted that loads of OCZ's with older firmware has been returned and refunded to customers due to errors.
The error they're getting from dump, refers to "either display driver, memory, hard drive or win7 error" according to google.
Yeah, they're working on it or so we hear.-Stutter
Once you've been some where, its instant teleports, so unless you know something faster than instant...-Travel is a joke, maps are freakin huge and there's no way to speed running other than skills.
Generaly they tell you what to do or atleast where to go, I'm guessing you never looked at your Journal in the menu or asked anyone in game about any of this huh?-Quest system is also a joke, it sometimes doesn't explain what you have to do and i'm still in the first quests
You're missing something: http://ffxiv.gamerescape.com http://ffxiv.yg.com http://ffxiv.zam.com- I need to travel to another city to buy another tools that allow me to harvest, for example, as i started in Ul'dah, or i'm missing something.
Each town has the basic tools for ALL classes, just have to look for them.
Yeah this is an annoyance we share, but they're supposedly working on that too.-When talking to merchants and selecting the Buy menu it takes like 3 second to show the items they have to sell, god.
Yeah, I know, weird huh? BTW it is still free.-PS: Is this game still free to play? Honestly i don't know, because I never asked anyone playing or gave anyone a chance to answer my questions.

Yeah i'm hearing this since the game was release "they're working", if people work like this the world would be stopped by now. Tip: Get more people, costs more but it's faster to get the game working as it should when released.
Except you need to visit a place first before you can teleport there, so the long walking runs is still there, besides it takes 4 hours to recover 1 teleport point
Exclamation marks should be visible no matter what distance you are from the objective, that's how it works in every other game that i have played, unless you haven't discovered the location yet, which i had (it's the first city, ho ho ho)
Thanks captain obvious, except you forgot that the icons are shown for each city when you create a character. The problem is not that they're in another city but the time it takes to get there.
Yeah i've read that before.
Thanks, however being free doesn't make the game any better specially when it has stutter like this. Honestly i don't know if it's the game's fault or just an nVIDIA issue, because it seems people with much lower specs (and no SSD) can run the game fine, but since i got replied with being an "access to disk" problem and suggested to buy an SSD i think it has nothing to do with nVIDIA drivers.
Anyway i'm still watching for updates to this game, i could pay 50 a month just for a single slot if this was playable. But it seems than some people around here don't understand that sometimes it's with complains that things get fixed.
They're actually hiring more people right now.
Every other game = WoW? You can see the locations for quest objectives in your journal. I don't understand what your problem is here.Exclamation marks should be visible no matter what distance you are from the objective, that's how it works in every other game that i have played, unless you haven't discovered the location yet, which i had (it's the first city, ho ho ho)
Did you even read what he said? He said the tools for all classes are for sale in every city. You don't have to travel to another city to get tools for any class. And what icons are you talking about? Thanks captain obvious, except you forgot that the icons are shown for each city when you create a character. The problem is not that they're in another city but the time it takes to get there.
This game's problems run much deeper than that. Stuttering in cities is a legitimate issue that should never have been there but it's one of the less critical problems.Anyway i'm still watching for updates to this game, i could pay 50 a month just for a single slot if this was playable. But it seems than some people around here don't understand that sometimes it's with complains that things get fixed.
Good to know, the more the better, hopefully.
I uninstalled WoW after playing the first quest. Can't people troll with something else? Like there's nothing else other than WoW. ROFL
Oblivion shows the quest marks on the map, so does Aion, Guild Wars i'm not sure, didn't play it in years and so many other games, FF14 only shows quest marks when near them, dunno why.
He said that ALL tools are available to buy from each town, and the icons i'm referring to is the "job" icons, which is where some job specific quests are. Can you also get those in the start city? I can't check because i already uninstalled the game. :/
If that is one of the less critical problems i wonder what the critical ones are, because to me anything that affects general gameplay is highly critical.
Oblivion and GW aren't MMOs. Aion was designed from the ground up to be "like WoW but", which isn't exactly a rare trait, but still.
You mean the guilds? The guilds offer job specific quests at R20 and R30. Clearly you're nowhere near that. I still don't know what icons you're talking about, though. He said that ALL tools are available to buy from each town, and the icons i'm referring to is the "job" icons, which is where some job specific quests are. Can you also get those in the start city? I can't check because i already uninstalled the game. :/
The game only stutters when moving in highly crowded areas, which right now equals cities, and even there it tends to calm down once you've spent some time there. You shouldn't be spending that much time walking around in town, anyway, so it just doesn't happen very often. The real problems are gameplay related rather than technical. If that is one of the less critical problems i wonder what the critical ones are, because to me anything that affects general gameplay is highly critical.
Well, they're RPG which at the end every single game mention has this genre. I'd still like to know why they only show the quest marks when near them. Probably for people to take more time in the game, still not the end of the world.
Yes the Guilds (Where the professions are), i'm sorry for using different terms, every game seems to have it's own nowadays :P
The icons i'm talking about are the Guild Icons that each town has when selecting the town after character creation, i'm not sure if they show up there, i might be confusing with some other game.
I just would like to enjoy the game and i can't, when doing quests i spend a lot of time in the cities and all those hiccups frustrate me. It also happens in camps, not near as much but happens. I'd say it has something to do how player characters are rendered or loaded because NPCs don't do this, even if there's like 20 NPCs in the same place this doesn't happen. :\
