Heavensward Fishing Finds!

Been trying for several hours now to hook a Cometoise. My fisher is level 57 BiS pre 3.0. (401/318). I'm probably not even fishing in the right place. I tried the Mourn, and all I got was Granite Crab, Lava Crab, and one Cindersmith while snagging. In the tooltip, it states that its in the magma near the Halo. I tried fishing at the Halo, but it seems you need to be level 60 there. I can't fish even if I try. The only bait I've tried (or even know to try in lava) is Magma Worm. Can someone please help me out?

Nevermind found it, can be caught at The Mourn or Anyx Old, mooched off granite crab, I believe it has to be Dust Storm weather because they didn't start biting mooches until the weather changed. It's either that or midnight + because that's when it changed.

So I desynthed the fish I caught from leveling to 60 and managed to get a few Chimera Manes. Thing is I did it so fast I don't know which fish desynthed into the manes. Does anyone know?

Manasail: Started catching these at 11:00 a.m. Eorzea Time and didnt get any more after 1:00 p.m. Mooches off of rudderfish and you can use aetherial reduction on it. Weather was clear when I caught them.

For those wondering about he lvl 60 quest, using the GP buffs is not required, but helps. I ended up catching my Catkiller hq through normal means. Bladed steel lure does make it a LOT easier to get your toads.

Yep,... HQ Catkiller. Cloudtop, Eddies. Clear Skies 11pm to 3am. Bait Purse Spider Web, or Stonefly Nymph. Patience, Hook, HQ Hedgemole Cricket, Mooch, Precision Hookset, HQ Bullfrog, Mooch, Powerful Hookset, HQ Catkiller. May get Lucky and get Bullfrog HQ and skip first part, make sure you use Powerful to attempt to catch HQ Catkiller. good luck. Patience not required, but does make HQs easier to get.

There's no timeframe. You can catch them at anytime. You'll know when you got it because it's the big tug

Idk if you were aware of this, but it seems Catkiller is during Clear/Fair weather only. Anything other should always give you Yalm Lobsters.
