Title Screen auto-plays cutscene that contains major spoilers

When I left my game alone for a bit, I returned to see it playing a cutscene from the title menu. I saw it for only a brief moment. The part I saw, contained a huge plot spoiler. I had not finished the story line from v2.55 yet, and that part of the cutscene really ruined the biggest part of the final in-game cutscenes of v2.55.

This is outrageous and is a major slip up. This cutscene should NOT auto-play before one finishes the story from v2.55 or at all.

This needs to be changed ASAP. I am still infuriated by this spoiler. Words cannot express how upset I am over this.

As much as I personally don't care about spoilers, I realise many others do! I'm kind of surprised about this... it definitely needs to be changed.

Well, it wouldn't be the first time Square has accidentally spoiled their own game - Aeris's death scene in FFVII was shown after all on the back cover (and in TV commercials!) on the European version of the game.

I think in this case SE were thinking that with the use of social media and Youtube (the trailer has been available online anyway for the last two months), they probably decided that it's led to a 'it was his sled' moment and any attempt to conceal that revelation is doomed anyway. Sadly there is no easy fix to this.

Aeris dies in FFVII? How could you spoil that for me? You ruined the story and my life. J/K.
But seriously, I actually I didn't learn of her death till I actually played through it. As for spoilers via social media, this is why I avoid places talking about games I haven't finished yet. I have still managed to keep the ending of Mass Effect 3 sacred all this time awaiting my completion of ME 2 and 3. All I know is some sort of big controversy in the community came over the ending of ME 3, and I don't want to know any more till I actually take the time out to finish it.

I think self-spoilers are the worst kinds. Its one thing you accidentally see a third party mention it, its another when its spoiled by its source material. Its like watching anything with Sean Bean in it, you know the character he plays will die in the story.
