I had no problem getting on earlier today but as of a half hour ago Ive been recieving this 5006 error code. I'm really not happy with this I would like to play my game. I still have a bit a ways to get to expansion ready.P.S. Coeurl is the world I'm in

This fix didn't work for me unfortunately![]()
Definitely not working for Aether. I switch to Primal no problem, can't go back to Aether.

ShimoRyu, the queue number never decreased when I was up to that point, but it did eventually connect.
Yes I am aware of that.. but when i close cilent down and open again as to see what would happen... Error 2002 >.<.. if any of you manged to get into queue.. dont close cilent down!

ShimoRyu, did you try the data center swapping or clearing the system settings?
data center swapping just now and i got in.. now in queue
Okay, the good news is - I might have a more permanent solution to this problem we're all facing. The bad news is that its going to take a while (at least it is for me) for it to work. Something is wrong with the cache files; at least, that's what the case was for me.
Go to your Game library for Steam and right click on FFXIV: ARR and go to Properties. Under the "Local Files" tab select "Verify the integrity of the game cache" when I did this, 202 files turned up to be corrupt. Currently, the files are redownloading and its taking upwards of 4 hours to complete.
Also, Steam is telling me I haven't finished downloading Heavensward (but I finished two hours ago) has this not updated on anyone else's Steam page either?

ScreamQueen,
Great suggestion, confirms my suspicion that it is the cache files. Unfortunately, not everyone is using Steam. I do think it may be possible to isolate certain cache files on the hard drive and remove them, but I haven't looked into it.
