I feel your pain OP. Finally logged in. Right after fighting a massive que, I started to load only to get lobby server 5006 again. Maybe servers should be split temporarily or free transfers from high pop ones instituted?

Seriously Pissed. They need to do something about this bullshit. When the game came out in October last year. Same damn issue. Why the fuck do we have to pay for a game they cant keep running? This is why people quit MMO's, Idiots who have no idea what is going to happen...

Been trying to get into Aether data center for over an hour now. constant error 2002...I can sometimes get into Primal when switching....But that does not help me since all my characters are on Aether D8.

Edit: I have also tried switching back to DX9 but I am unlucky it seems as that made no difference for me personally.

This does not work, at least for me. I tried and I still go through the same errors I mentioned before. Although, it doesn't hurt to try for those that haven't yet.

I'm in queue now. So it seems there is no magic fix just being lucky and not getting the error which is most likely the too many people hammer the log in servers error.

Hope you get lucky. I got to queue 1 and then I get error 2002 and force me to click ok and shut the game.

I'm stuck at 60, but I am gonna stick it out and see what happens while I watch TV and eat dinner. I will probably try again in an hour if it doesn't work.

This is so stupid. I understand having to wait to get into the server. It makes sense considering the circumstances. I've waited in a 4 hour queue before. AT LEAST PUT ME IN A DAMN QUEUE. I can't connect to the data center, and on rare occasions when I magically DO and it puts me in a queue, the stupid error happens, it kicks me out of my queue and shuts down the game...So I get to spend the next hour trying to reconnect to the data center just so that I can MAYBE get into a queue for 5 minutes and then more than likely be kicked out again and have to repeat the process. PUT ME IN A SOLID QUEUE SO I CAN AT LEAST GO DO SOMETHING ELSE WITH MY LIFE WHILE I WAIT...Hell, put me in a DATA CENTER queue first if you need to! *rageragerage*

I get the errors. I get congestion, I get server overload.

What I don't get is why a lobby server error force closes the client.

Why. WHY is this necessary. I'm using a security token and it's an incredible hassle to log back in over and over and over again.
