    MCH has potential, but that 50% RNG combo proc is what kills it. I tried leveling AST a bit today, and the DPS was so low with 2 MCH, that it literally took 45min to do haukke, they really need to fix that..


    Cause as of now, MCH is probably the lowest DPS, even lower than Arcanist.

    You can throw all your cooldowns up at once you maintain something almost like real DPS damage for about 20 seconds at teh start of a boss fight and otehrwise you are just struggling to catch up to a real DPS class.

    On top of the low damage, the proc reliance mean you have to really watch your skills to see if they are firing off, which takes away from your mobility since you aren't paying as much attention to the actual battle. Slows down your response time to aoes, adds, etc. and the turret damge doesn't compensate for any of this much. It's just severely flawed from the ground up.

    Bard has songs, support skills, that's the reason the damage isn't severe. Bard is both a supporter AND an attacker, so there was a tradeoff.Here you get a less useful version of paeon, and that's kind of it for support that I'm seeing. You traded in damage for all the fun of playing a slot machine. Just feels very low damage and low utility so far with no real redeeming qualities.

    On a positive note though, SE has really done a good job of balancing the classes. If MCH isn't up to par, they'll go in and fix it. How exactly, remains to be seen. I haven't played the class yet, but the RNG thing does seem like that could be a problem, but maybe it just gets much stronger at 60.

    I've noticed dungeons as a MCH are a real pain. Their dps is way to low, because the dungeons take a lot longer. Hell the DRK class seems like it does better dps. I hope they get rid of the RNG, this class looks cool, but is boring and bland.

    I feel like one of the problems with MCH in dungeons right now is that there are some that look like they're only wearing the 2 pieces of gear they got from the first quest, and whatever random pieces of gear they happen to have in their armoury chest.

    The speed of dungeons from what I've seen, has more to do with the player than the class; I.E the same dungeons have taken considerable longer or shorter w/ identical composition based on player skill...I think it's a bit early to fault the class.

    As a bard main I'd say that MCH seems to be the same level of busyness. Relying on RNG for MCH is no different than relying on RNG for bloodletters/straight shot proc...

    I just unlocked MCH, and I didn't have a good look on the skills to come. But I think the job lacks a self hp regenerative skill early on, since you can't have any from crossclass skills. What do you guys think? I did had some trouble in the first mission, but my gear was laughable...

    I'm not sure how bad the damage is, but it seems low. Also, I just don't see the proc rates on my 1-2-3 combo being anywhere near 50%. I'm lucky to maybe get a proc every 3-4 shots - if I'm lucky. I've seen plenty of 10+ streaks without a single proc. It just makes for really frustrating game play. Also, just hit 43 and there is no real exciting moves for the mch. No really cool-looking animation or move that you really like to use. Wasted this much time, so I'll probably get it to 50, but looking more and more like I'll go back to my bard. Mch seems like a bard with more rng, less damage and less utility . . .

    After lvling to 40, I'd have to say that MCH is pretty underwhelming so far.

    The one and only combo has an annoying RNG factor to it, which makes me have to stare at the bar a lot more than I want to, just to see if it proc'd. Sure Reload guarantees the proc but the cooldown is rather long.

    I'd much rather it be a guaranteed proc and Reload just to boost the damage of the skills or something.

    For the turret, there's nothing much to say about it. You place it, it's there shooting at your target. MAYBE making it follow you around would make it more interesting. Wouldn't need to recast it everytime you move somewhere, and with Promotion, your positioning would add an extra element of strategy. Just a thought.

    Haven't had much trouble leveling, the DPS isn't too horrible, cross-class dmg buffs are necessary though.

    Overall, it just feel kinda clunky, there's no smooth rotation, so it's not very fun for me. Think I'll go back to playing DRG to 70 for now.

    I have had no troubles with the damage once you get your turret at 40.

    It does pretty good single target damage (I wish it had an aoe mode too, maybe it does), maybe 30% more than your baseline damage.

    Here are the main problems I see with machinist:

    1. Ammo on too many abilities does nothing. Yes 20 potency...wow woohoo. It is a huge waste to have to use it on anything that isn't your combo. You can plan around this obviously, but it is annoying.

    2. Ammo on 3rd combo does nothing, and there is nothing you can do about it. I would like it to buff the damage of the first combo again, or something.

    3. Minor complaint - adds die so fast you can't get the final damage from wildfire. Also, the wording on that tooltip is very garbled.

    4. Cannot tell the radius of promoted rook tp regen. The graphic seems very small. I hope its as large as bard song radius.

    5. The combo system is -annoying-. Its not like gamebreaking or weak or anything. But I can't say I'm really having fun with it.

    6. Anticipating that gauss barrel will make our combo super painful, because you won't get time to react to the proc until the cast is complete.
