But that being said there is no rotation that you can just macro for highest DPS. You need to monitor the environment at all times as well as if you have the benefits proc to the next buffs.

If your macroing bard abilitys you're not doing "highest" dps and its why your finding it harder. Bard played properly is about the same level of difficulty, atleast from the few hours I played machinist.

Personnaly I like the more random elements, 123 rotations are boring.

MCH has potential, but that 50% RNG combo proc is what kills it. I tried leveling AST a bit today, and the DPS was so low with 2 MCH, that it literally took 45min to do haukke, they really need to fix that..


Cause as of now, MCH is probably the lowest DPS, even lower than Arcanist.

Bard was actually lowest DPS below Summoner pre expansion. Now SMN is phenomenal. Unless you mean the actual Arcanist class then LOL, damn.

I did Haukke with 2 MCH, a DRK and an AST and we cleared it in around 25 mins or so. No issues at all.

You can throw all your cooldowns up at once you maintain something almost like real DPS damage for about 20 seconds at teh start of a boss fight and otehrwise you are just struggling to catch up to a real DPS class.

On top of the low damage, the proc reliance mean you have to really watch your skills to see if they are firing off, which takes away from your mobility since you aren't paying as much attention to the actual battle. Slows down your response time to aoes, adds, etc. and the turret damge doesn't compensate for any of this much. It's just severely flawed from the ground up.

Bard has songs, support skills, that's the reason the damage isn't severe. Bard is both a supporter AND an attacker, so there was a tradeoff.Here you get a less useful version of paeon, and that's kind of it for support that I'm seeing. You traded in damage for all the fun of playing a slot machine. Just feels very low damage and low utility so far with no real redeeming qualities.
