I think shiva goes hand in hand with ifrit in terms of final fantasy games. So hopefully wel see her soon, although i do think there needs to be a new area/zone for her. Maybe a new set of snow beastmen that worship her???? 0_O

Mateus. Who doesn't love a transvestite esper?

I'm assuming that you are talking about the Emperor Mateus from FFII and Dissidia. (its the only tranny looking version.)

His esper counterpart in FFXII was actually invisible and living within the armor. He captured an ice goddess and uses her for her power and as a shield according to FFXII lore.

However the Mateus Totema from FFT:A is more along the lines of what I was thinking. She is 100% female and the guardian of the humans in that game.

After all, the Don couldn't tell that Cloud was a guy in FF7 if you spent enough time getting all the makeup, clothes, wig and all that stuff

I'm just glad we have Leviathan, he's always been my favourite, although i would have liked to see Bismark, but i'd imagine he'd be too big to star in anything besides cut scenes lol. I'd also love to see Alex, Fenrir and Phoenix. I prefer the more animalistic/obscure summons to the more the human ones. And yes for Quezacotl instead of Ramuh, he was a really good design and he deserves a reappearance i think.

Saying that though, i do like the designs for the primals, (so pleased they arent transformers or anything this time) they look very natural and majestic. I would be pleased with whoever makes XIV's summon roster. Judging by the amount of light beams emerging from the dragon in the opening though, theres a LOT of them.

Ultima would be the lvl 999 Primal were we need to have the whole server just to take it down xD The party that is able to hold and survive it will get the drops. Though, to hold Ultima you must be able to tank it. And who knows what extreme AOE's ultma got

No one mentioned Atomos? I am disappoint. I liked the FFIX eidolons the most, the Bahamut vs Alexander scene was epic. And about Leviathan being in LL opening, I hope it's not. Leviathan needs more grace than being a butt ugly fish. Also the dragon in CG opening seems more like Shinruy I think. I'm not big fan of summons, but Anima's 2,8 million dmg Oblivion ftw.

I've been through all 3 opening cut-scenes and the LL one is easily the most impressive of the 3, in fact, it's the most impressive cutscene I've seen in the entire game so far! Seeing him leap over the boat and all the water droplets falling from him as he passes over, and the droplets are reflecting everything around him, it's not just amazing, it's awe-inspiring.

It was the first cut-scene I saw when I started the game, I guess that helped in getting me hooked. When you see something that impressive, you can't help but keep playing in the hopes of seeing more epic cut-scenes

I've seen the cut scene many times when benchmarking, so I've seen that butt ugly fish that jumps over the boat. I won't give up my hope for a good looking Leviathan 'til I see a confirmation that it really is Leviathan. If someone has a link for the confirmation, please post it so I can stop dreaming.
