DX 11 Client crashes my PC

I have a AMD 290x, and I get a lot of random crashes with the UI usually when I open Party Finder. I really don't know what could be causing it. I've had a couple crashes while zoning too.

I wonder if it's a 900 series issue then? I have a GTX 970 and I saw another post with a 980 that had issues. And not every map gave me issues, I had no crashes in Gridania, Coerthas, or Mor Dhona but crashed frequently in Limsa Lominsa and South Shroud. When I switch back to DX9 I have zero issues whatsoever, nor did the DX11 benchmark give me any problems.

I had to lower my OC slightly, even though temps were hella-cool and benched no problems. Only with DX11. Eh, ill take it.

Hi all,

Just to share with all of you the solution to my problem.

On Titan X. Running Driver version 353.06 / 353.12 crashes from time to time when using DX11.

It has not crashed once since using 350.12

Good luck to you all. On a separate note, for SquareEnix, please take note that you need to work on some problems running the game with latest NVIDIA drivers.

I've also had quite a few crashes with the dx11 client while teleporting that have required a hard restart of my PC. Radeon, not nVidia.

I got stuck trying to zone into LLN last night, kept hard locking on the load-in. Switched to the dx9 version and not a hiccup since. Stinks that the dx11 client is having such issues.
