    Things to try
    1 update directx
    2. try reinstalling ffxiv

But I guess it's nothing of the above will help, problem with files or ffxiv dx11 launcher itself

I had a game crash in DX11 when in Revenant's Toll using the Try On feature with the Balmung weapon for DRK they offer.

Went back to DX9, was having low fps anyway, my PC is a bit old.

I have the same graphics card and suffer the same severe issues with the DX11 client. When my drivers crash, it force reboots my PC but the drivers for my graphics card do not come back on until I manually reset my system again. The NVidia drivers and the new FFXIV client just don't play nice, as my fiance has an AMD card and has had zero issues despite having a weaker PC than I do.

I don't know if SE will tweak the client or if it's on NVidia to push out a new driver on their end.

I've had my display driver crash twice since Early Access started, having never once had a single issue before the DX11 client came into the equation. The first time I was finishing my first Astrologian quest and the driver crashed when the cutscene ended, causing the client to error out and I had to relog.

The second time was about an hour ago as of the time of this post. I was standing at the Maelstrom HQ looking at expert delivery items and the screen went black, and my computer hard locked and shut down. It's a well ventilated and cooled PC, and I've had my card (gtx 970, same as OP and Samias) for a while with absolutely 0 problems. These issues only began yesterday with the Early Access client.

Hopefully either Square-Enix or Nvidia can sort it out.

I wonder if it's a 900 series issue then? I have a GTX 970 and I saw another post with a 980 that had issues. And not every map gave me issues, I had no crashes in Gridania, Coerthas, or Mor Dhona but crashed frequently in Limsa Lominsa and South Shroud. When I switch back to DX9 I have zero issues whatsoever, nor did the DX11 benchmark give me any problems.

I've experienced the same exact style of crashing with my 980ti, no other games or benchmarks or stress tests cause the issues this game, there is clearly something wrong with the DX11 Client, and in general the release.

I get these exact same crashes-- System reboots hangs (no video loading) even though windows has reloaded-- and no video will show up until you restart the entire system. Event viewer shows nvidia stream service crashing / some of the time - but other time there isn't much information logged to go on. Definitely a Driver/Game issue.

I'm rolling with GTX 970 - fully upgraded drivers and top of the line specs for CPU/RAM etc --

    It's really a shame
