Amazon pre-order code does not include early access

I'm in the same boat with Amazon. Waiting on Early access code even though I have Heavensward active. Unable to download the big patch, but have the small one.

I did manage to get a $5 discount for my efforts but would much have preferred to be updated right now. Only reason I went with them is because I had funds on my account.

Yup, saw it coming. Glad I canceled and ordered with greenmangaming. Much better than SE store which didnt really screw up any thing for me when I preordered ARR but GMG was a lot quicker and clear with their preorder codes.

Honestly I blame SE for Amazons screw up. Never had this problem with them before. Both ESO and Wildstar, my most recent Amazon MMO preorders, went smoothly. Same with other SP games.

I didn't remember until now that it was sort of like this with ARR. I think somewhere along the chain the two companies have a hard time communicating.

For anyone else struggling with this, I was able to get my code after calling Amazon customer service. I was on hold for a while but once connected they had my code ready. You need to go to https://preorder.na.finalfantasyxiv.com/na to register the code amazon will give you. This will generate another code for you to enter on Mog station. After that you should be good to go and update your client.

I haven't gotten my early access code from Amazon yet either. Haven't gotten an e-mail response either... thought it might be faster than waiting on hold for an hour. I guess we've all learned a very important lesson... order from the Square store next time =\ So much for customer loyalty being worth anything, eh?

ye same here, for many years i was loyal to them, because they treated me well. but now i am not so sure about this.

I preordered in April through Amazon.

Wednesday I received my preorder code from Amazon. 18 letters/numbers
I plugged that code in and followed the steps.

I got an additional code from square enix to plug into mog station. 20 letters and numbers

I'm assuming mine will log in fine.
