have a beta test period these very important this will let you know what will face come launch day. when run the beta test day have period push the server to it limit. this what called stress test. we could avoid error 1014 if we knew it would be there. this error was there in begin of 2.0 aswell

It's not server stress many of our accounts are messed up. I downloaded the expansion on PS4 but it doesn't show up with HW title screen and says I don't have the service. I wish it was just server stress.

ah i see, that make sense, so this more a support issue on square enix account side. not ffxiv dev team side

That isn't the same problem that PC players are having. (Though I will say it is a problem.)

Looks like it was a PSN issue someone has found a hidden download for us. Getting it now lets see.
