The game is suddenly crashing on me when I take screenshots.
It doesn't happen all the time as I was able to take a few but I already got booted twice.
Any fix ?
Thank you.

I have this same aggravating issue.
I'm running Windows 8.1 with GeForce GTX 770, DirectX 11 version of Heavensward.
When I went to Ishgard, I got a few screenshots during the cutscene but after that in the town area the client goes to "Not responding" state where it totally locks my Windows. I hear the game audio but I'm unable to do anything in the frozen game or any other software I have open.
Opening Task Manager is possible via Ctrl + Alt + Del and Alt tabbing to Task Manager is possible, but I can't close FFXIV because it prevents me from doing anything in Task Manager (it disappears when I try to click anything or when I let go of Alt key). The only solution I've found so far is to restart Windows.
Would really like if this was fixed as soon as possible.
I'm going to try if screenshotting works on the DirectX 9 version.
It's exactly as you described Eyjabria, I took a few screenshots in the cutscene, then in Ishgard the same thing as you happened. Of the three screenshots I tried to take, two of them made me crash.
I'm also playing in DirectX 11 but I can't try D9 as the server is down.
Edit : Looked up if it happened in other games, and it seems that switching the quality to JPEG in the settings sometimes resolves the issue. I'll see if it works when I can get back in.

Looks like it's working with the JPEG quality, will update if I get another crash.
Edit : Welp, got another one just now.

I switched back to DirectX 9 and haven't had the issue appear ever since (and believe me, I've taken tons of screenshots!).
DirectX 11 also seemed to cause some hardware lag for me on maximum graphics settings so I guess it's fine to use DX 9 for now.
I switched the game from fullscreen to windowed and it has worked fine for the moment. I'll try to play in DX9 if it happens to crash again, thanks !
