    Forcing a client update?

    Does anyone know a way to force the client to update to the 3.0 one? I have the game purchased and a license registered for Heavensward in the Mogstation. I also have the "auto-update expansion" option turned on in the client config settings. The only problem is that it is stuck on the 2.0 client and won't install the new one. Instead, once the username and password are entered it simply says "Play (directX 11)." Upon clicking that it launches the game as 2.0 still.

    Been fooling with this for 2 hours now, it's very frustrating.

    Have you applied your early access code to Mogstation?
    Without it, you wouldn't be prompted to update the expansion data, which is a good 10 gigs or so. You would have known if that happened.

    Yes, everything is squared away on the Mogstation. I got my code through Amazon, which is a combined game-code and early-access code in one.

    This will probably be a stupid question and i'm sure you've tried this a hundred times already, but you haven't left your launcher open since before the maintenance right?

    If all else fails, it's time to uninstall and reinstall.
    Be sure to back up your hotbar/gearsets first.

    I have the same issue as the OP. I patched the first half like 4.4GB last night about 7 PM. I closed the launcher while entering my codes online, verified everything looked good in the MogStation, opened the launcher, didn't get to patch. So I decided to toggle the "install automatically" option under Config, closing after each change to make sure it took. Booted up again and... still no patch.

    My character isn't showing up on my service account, and I'm on Excal, so those factors might have something to do with it given it's having trouble.

    I'm in same situation. I pre-ordered from Amazon. I didn't get a second code. Are you sure that the Amazon code can be used for both? When I tried it says my code has already been entered.

    I don't get prompted for the 3.0 update, and only receive a 4.3 gb update.

    Says here that certain outlets are using a combined code. My only guess is that, while the code was supposed to be used for both the game and early-access, once you redeem it for once it locks you out of the other. This is a huge problem then since it would affect everyone who go the game from Amazon.

    I'm on Excalibur too, but would it be safe to assume you didn't buy yours from SE's online store? Mine updated fine, but I did buy the digital edition.
