Speak for yourself. Several servers, including Behemoth, are currently confirmed inaccessible by SE; cause is "under investigation" with no ETA on a fix.

Im on balmung. probably the most populated server. I can't log in right now. Im not mad, I expected this. Still, no server crashes is a good thing.

It's kind of sad that many of us expect the servers to be crap. We really shouldn't have to have such low expectations at this point.

It's not having low expectations, it's being realistic. No server can undertake any amount of preparation that would completely prevent things like this from happening. It's just not possible.

I've played multiple MMO's. Some on their most populated RP servers. For all the flak I give World of Warcraft, if I already had a character on a server, and I still have character space available on that server, I'd be able to make an alt regardless of server lock conditions. And WoW has also had a few successful expansion launches in the past that didn't kill servers. And SE is a way bigger brand name than Activision-Blizzard. So I do expect better honestly.
