    Most likely they had a few people cancel previous preorders, meaning they now probably have some excess stock to clear out of their wharehouse (the price is one such stumbling block). And I'm still waiting for my preordered copy to arrive by mail (it apparently was shipped on the 19th, and it's now nearly a week since then and still nothing).

    Although I was willing to fork out the money for this (as I really wanted the CE, more for the artbook and to complete my FFXIV collection as I already have the CEs for 1.0 and ARR), it is very steep, and I don't think SE were the ones who set the price for this - I think that blame lies squarely at the feet of EB Games.

    It really is EB. My first thought when i was inquiring about the physical copy was "oh my god SE, why are you screwing us Australians!
    But then i checked the SE Store and discovered that i could buy it from the NA store and have them ship it to a friend for 130USD plus currency exchange. Its just pure greed from a games store rapidly going the way of the dodo due to the ease of online purchases.
