So Conflicted on What Job to Role!!!!!

IDK what to role!!! I've been a MNK so far, beaten T13 with MNK and idk if I wanna continue being a MNK or role a DRK or AST. The new MNK skills look amazing and fun, but at the same time I kind of feel like trying something outside of DPS. Oh what to do what to do......

I was maining Monk and I will be switching over to Machinist.

If you're not part of a serious raid group, then it doesn't really matter what you choose, you have time to try them all and do whatever you like.

I've heard that the serious players are shooting to tackle the new endgame content with 2 weeks prep time. That goal should be attainable if you continue your main job from 50 and bring it to 60.
But starting a new job at 30 and taking it to 60 within 2 weeks sounds difficult and will require a lot of play time within a short period. We all know the tips and tricks to get to 50 pretty quick, but we don't really have an idea yet of what 50-60 will be like, so starting a new job will require double effort because you'd have to learn the new job AND the new content at the same time.

Dont fret lol lots of ppl will drop the new jobs cuz its too hard to play till ppl make guides.
Lots of ninjas at release, 1 week later, oh where did they all go? More than half say nah it wasn't for me... Mudras too laggy, i don't like the combos/ playstyle etc. then they just go back to their mains and carry on lol.

So just take ur time and try them out, like mentioned before.
Why not just do everything? The new jobs aren't going anywhere.

take your current best job to 60 while doing story
once finished, play all the other jobs
play the ones you like the best in the end

Do you have some experience in tanking or healing in FF14 yet? If not - I suggest that you play your Monk first and enjoy the new content with this class.
I am not fan of this "this new class looks cool so I want to try it out"-philosophy if you have no experience so far in this certain role.
Of course, leveling all classes is something you can do, but as for now (doing the new 3.0-story and reaching lvl 60) do it with your main, then.
The new jobs look quite complex and they will only frustrate you - and that's not worth it, imo, when new lvl 50+ content is waiting for you. After reaching lvl 60 you're, of course, free to level up any other class.

I will level DRK first - but I am part of a serious progress static and I'll level with 3 other players of it. All with roles they actually going to play once Alexander is open (I'm their OT so I need war/drk anyway till then). So if you don't have this kind of ambition and just want to have some fun start with lvl 50 right away.
