Think the point is to get an actual "friend" to play together with you and not some random on forums where you are just going to ditch him after you get your items.

All my friends already play the game. Just like a lot of other people, there's enough of us in the same boat to sink it. There is already talk of people buying 3 copies or making another account last x amount of days. I plan to buy 3 copies if I cant find random friends, of off steam next time it goes on sale. This could be a nice little way for new players to get free items for those who could care less about find some player like myself, but just want items.

EDIT: bonus, hell ill even give them some gil. Id be willing to give 1mil to each player that sigh's up q up with them for some harder content at lvl 50, up to 3 people. Not as a im paying you, but as a thank you and good luck on your journey type thing.
