It seems Holy and Flare now both lose potency based on the total # of mobs, someone (@charmwitch) posted two screenshots on twitter but seems to have deleted them now.
I would really hate to see this happen to these spells, any truth to the nerf?

They are legit.
SE apparently real unhappy with speed pulls from Mages.
My life while tanking is an existential hell from which there is no escape.
yeah and instead of fixing how dungeons work in general and how boring it is to do the same, trash - boss - trash boss mechanic, they nerv...
The problem is the content not the jobs or the AOE. Also the need to run the same stuff all over again in expert or whatever roulettes etc. is encouraging this.
i still dont know why they didnt change that approach and instead just give us some more sneaky parts to maybe avoid mobs as well? that is def. more fun then just to kill all...
they also should involve more options questwise into dungeons, (ofc that only makes sense if a dungeon has more then 1 route and many sideways and extra rooms...


Probably due to the fact that people would use like double blm and whm + tank to speed run all dungeons for tomes. It was just way faster then any other set up.
Time for DRG + BRD to make a return.

edit: she seems to have deleted the flare screenshot but the holy one remains, flare was nerfed to be similar to holy in the diminishing returns on # of mobs.

It's balance, gotta consider how OP those spells were cause they were pure damage with no limitations and then you have SMN/SCH using 3 DoT Bane with a limit of 4 targets alltogether, that s a bit unbalanced imo so I"m glad to hear they are having dmg based on amount of targets now.
