(Disclaimer, Spoilers up to 2.55 in this poetry)
During the first early access I wrote a "T'was the night" parody ( Found here if you so wish to read or re-read ) and it was fairly popular. So, to continue the trend, I give you part deaux.
T'was the night before Early access, our second time 'round
Adventurers again stirred, for we were all Ishgard bound.
Expansions were downloaded and gamers lay waiting,
In hopes that level 60, we'd soon be attaining.
Players were nestled by their PLaystaions or PC's,
Soon MAC's would join the party for Final Fantasy.
and FC's with their members, and me with my friends,
Had just finished stocking up for a sleepless weekend.
Yet again from Japan, there arose such a clatter,
The expansion went live, nothing else mattered.
Away to new lands I flew like a flash,
mounted my new hippogryph, and made a mad dash.
The Foundation was sodden, war torn and scarred,
but up just one level shown the pillars unmarred.
When what to my wondering eyes should appear,
but scales mixed with skin and horns next to ears.
This new race unseen, revealed to Eorzea their face,
I knew in a moment it was the Au'ra race.
With more power than dragons, they fought with strange disciplines,
As Dark knights, and Machienists, and astrologians.
Papalymo, Yda, Y'shtola, and Thancred,
Minfilia and fellow scions were all missing or dead.
To the Dravanian forelands and the Albathian skies,
I searched for the answers to combat Lolorito's lies.
As politics trembled 'neath Ul'dah's sands,
Adventurers prepared to battle Ascians.
So we rose from the depths where we'd been cast off,
Without the blessing of light, which had raised us aloft.
And then in a twinkling, I heard a soft sound,
A voice ever distant, Hydalyn to be found.
With my first Step of faith, never ceasing to fight,
I lead the way, as the warrior of light.
We're armed now in dreadwyrm and ironworks gear,
Wielding powerful zodiacs which our enemies fear.
But in this new land our equipment is weak,
We'll need to grow stronger to protect the meek.
In this land of dragoons, I fit right in,
wielding my lance and learning from kin.
Joining the fight, in this dragonsong war,
Searching for truth from Nidhogg and Hraesvelgr.
But when we want for more power, Adventurers be cautious,
for we'll soon be faced with a primal Colossus.
And as we get ready to run in and raid,
Alexander will be waiting, Judgement be his blade.
Now spring to your games and signal your team,
Look to the skies and wake from your dreams.
For as dragons sing, with each thundering chord,
We are now beckoned to Final Fantasy: Heavnsward.
