I just logged into the game to do normal raids since I haven't done the weekly yet and I had logged out in Limsa.
The first thing that happened was that a Male Miqo'te ran past me in speedos and nothing else and a Male Viera stood across me at the Aetheryte in the 2b legs.
The Male Miqo'te then noticed me and started walk in circles around me while looking at me.
There are no female characters in revealing gear in sight atm and on the sides where the market boards are there's a Male Roegadyn sitting with a Male Lalafell both half-naked with no shirt.
This isn't even abnormal in Limsa lets not pretend like it's just Female characters.

Tell me again how this is '' hurr durr female characturs '' and how it isn't sexist to specifically zero in on female characters?



Before I was about to press reply here I looked again and the Miqo'te has now moved on to another person and is circling around them too lol.
To me that's actually understandable to be bothered by because it's infringing upon someone else and creeping them out same with people who whisper you trying to '' seduce you ''.
But oh no a Female character afk:ing in Limsa showed some legs that's the issue /s.

I was expecting something much worse from the post in question, yet ultimately it ended up just being something I'd consider worthy of an eye roll at most before shrugging and moving on with my day. As I see it, everybody is allowed their preferences when it comes to aesthetics but so too is there no obligation for other people to like those same aesthetics themselves.

Another factor is, of course, that this is a game with a global audience. It stands to reason, then, that there's going to be differences in what some people consider acceptable compared to others. Given that this is ultimately a video game forum, I rather suspect it isn't really an appropriate place for many to go on a crusade demanding change absolutely everywhere.
