I didn't see any thread regarding this. I was a bit puzzeled when it said "Play in DirectX 9.0".
Found out you have to go into the "CONFIG" tab, and enable it from there.
Should show "Play DirectX 11" after, assuming your PC can handle it.

It should be obvious to everyone, but especially for those who didn't download the benchmark. There are TWO physical game clients. A DX9 and a DX11 client.
Do note that the DX11 client is also a 64-bit-only client.
Thank you ! That was exactly what i was looking for~
the prelim patch notes also tell you exactly where to go to do this.
I have a quick question for anyone who might know - does enabling dx11 take a much burlier video card than I have? Nvidia GeForce GTX650 ti? I'm wondering if I will take a performance hit, or if it's better really. I don't have a good understanding of these things, thanks in advance!

If you haven't already, I'd recommend running the Heavensward Benchmark with DX11 enabled, then compare it to without. That will give you an idea of what kind of performance difference you'll be looking at.
May give a performance boost if you don't enable any dx11 goodies.I have a quick question for anyone who might know - does enabling dx11 take a much burlier video card than I have? This exactly, DX11 capable systems should see an increase compared to the DX9 client with the "same visual quality"
If you throw all the goodies at it, you will however see an increased amount of required resources.
I wonder what the PS4 version will look like, since we don't get DX11, but we do get some of the updates.
Please give us the shading/lighting improvements. At least on my face.
I'd hope you guys atleast get the uncompressed character textures, since the Ps4 has a nice amount of Vram.
