That stops some of it, but does very little to fix the problem. SE could do so very much more and it wouldn't even involve detecting the programs on the player's computers. It would just stop them from being able to harass other players.

Friend Requests: Give us a button that both blocks and reports bots who send friend requests. There is currently absolutely nothing to blacklist a friend request. Of course, SE would then have to respond to the reports and I'll get to that later.

I blacklist them from the chat dialog that occurs when I deny thier friend request. A simple right click blacklist. Done.

The idea that they're doing 'nothing' about these is false. However, so long as there is a service they can sell and people who will buy it, RMT exist in games.

Someone already mentioned they have seen bots doing msq. And you really haven't seen lvl50 bots spaming dungeons and stuff?

Interestingly enough, I've received no spam tells AT ALL this morning since logging in three hours ago. Usually, I'd have gotten more than a dozen in that time frame. Maybe just coincidental, but there it is.

I have not had a single bot send me anything since the patch! Very happy day! I love this game so much and I'm glad that it's one huge blemish has been taken care of
