I always feel a tiny bit awkward when I want to examine random players out and about, so I usually try to move my character so it's not obvious I'm staring... Cue running behind walls, hiding in bushes, and looking a lot weirder than just examining someone normally. XD

Put on gear that doesn't show your head moving, like the tank Darklight helmet and the problem is solved:P

Especially after growing tired of the 1,000,000 renditions of "xxCloudirothxx High'wind" and "<insert random Japanese name> Uchiha" I end up partied with every damn day.

It doesn't even have to be lore-specific (though it helps). A good way to get ignored for commendations is to have random consonants around your name.

I'll give the bloody comm to a derper with a decent name before xxHotTacoSiegfriedxx 99/100 times.

Yeah I don't give preferential treatment to lore appropriate names, but I do give it to people who have more... I guess roleplay sounding names. Anyone who has an existing character (like Squall, Elsa, Naruto, etc.) something with numbers, multiple Xes and symbols, or something ridiculous like "Booty Licious" definitely does not get my commendation.

Also I inspect low level people and craft them whole gear sets because it pains me to see them wearing gear 10 levels lower and the wrong type of accessories. I MUST BRING ORDER TO THIS CHAOS! ONE GEAR SET AT A TIME!

One thing I love doing is finding which character has an edgelord name and betting on whether it's a male Miqo'te or Elezen. Two of my favorites are Oblivion Zero and Cerberus Darkfire. I'm still waiting on Dark Flamemaster.

I am not surprised, but am thoroughly apalled that those are both actual player names. .___.
