Confused about when I can download PS4 digital version of HW.

On PS4 there is a timer that right now at time I typed this says 1 day, 2 hours, 49 minutes, and 10 seconds until it's playable.

I originally thought this was the date I could download and install it until I noticed it said playable. So when can it be downloaded and installed? I preordered the CE digital version.

You'll be able to download and play HW on the 19th (friday/early access) since you pre-ordered on the PSN.

Select FFXIV
Select Add-Ons
See if there's a download-arrow there for you now. It may allow you to predownload the file (1.729GB).

Okay, so I just went to addons and it says HW was installed 1 hour ago, which I was not aware, but then if that's true then why is it not appearing on the PS4 menu anywhere? It's not even in the library. Even if a game is not playable yet, if it has been downloaded and installed a game launch tile should still be showing, but not playable.

Or is the ARR launch tile the same thing and will be updated to HW launch tile when launching game when it's playable?

It's an add on for your ARR client, not a separate client.

I was wondering this too, I used to have to play with the disc on, and went digital now. If it's truly going to use the same ARR client I just hope it doesn't prompt me to insert the disc any longer.
