Early access code is "invalid"

I purchased an early access code at a 20% discount from greenmangaming the other day, and the format seems correct (it's a 20 character access code that matches the input that the mog station seems to want). When I put my code in it says "Invalid code". Did anyone else buy an access code from greenmangaming? Have you had any issues?

if its from EU then it might be due to your account being registered as a steam not windows

or try inputting it with other browser

My account is an NA account, though I think it is registered as a Steam account (though I don't play it through steam).

I have not "redeemed" my code through that site. The code format it's expecting is XXXXXX-000-XXXXXX-000. I have no such code anywhere in my confirmation email from green man gaming like that. The code I have, marked in the email as "FFXIV Heavensward Early Access:" is a 20 digit code in 5 segments: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. It matches what I see in the mog station, though the mog station will not accept it.

the code by itself is not invalid but your account registred as a steam is on the way .i happen to have the same issue having to buy a steam version after i bought a windows version where it stated an invlid code for me .i dont play through a steam i never did yet it states that i am registered as a steam , probably it happend because maybe when u started playing the game , u registered you account with the free give away registration code , and that might be a steam one though the game runs through a direct downloaded launcher from the internet .there is no way around changing the type of the account but the only solution so far is to buy a steam version then install the code to your account , you dont have to play in a separate launcher .buy and get the code from steam , you dont have to download the whole thing again ... thats what i did

they also refunded me for buying the wrong version

So because my account says "steam" the code I bought for the PC version is invalid? That makes no sense at all. I don't play through steam because it had way too many problems. So my only option is to get a refund from green man gaming and buy another one through steam? I only bought it because it was 20% off...

Yes. It's stupid and arbitrary, but you if you bought A Realm Reborn through Steam, you NEED to buy Heavensward through Steam as well.

I have the same problem, however I did not buy FFXIV through steam, nor did I buy heavensward through steam. Both were bought from the same shop, yet I still have a 20 digit code that doesn't fit the early access configuration nor is accepted by mog station.

Is there something I'm missing?

I am having the same issue. I have placed in my early access code for the pre-order bonus' and they went through fine. but the early access I get an invalid code.

too many players buying either the wrong early access code version or a defect code not that they know if its wrong or right ............SE must act fast
