A video game with an economic system.

Said user interface directly relates to the economic balance of the game. More transparency and convenience => harder to compete in the play environment. Excessive accessibility does nothing but make it much harder to create opportunities for profit.

More transparency and accessibility are ALWAYS good things for any market. The only people who benefit from secrets or unknown information, are either a few people who, by luck, stumble upon them or people who use those secrets against the rest of us.

Supply will always meet demand if we're allowed to make our own prices. This is the greatest truth of economics. More accessibility and transparency is good for both producers and consumers as a whole. If it is harder to compete, then those who are least effecient drop out. Better that the more effecient producers gain from the consumer, so that the consumer can purchase more for less.

I just have to say though... "excessive accessibility" as you put it... Imagine in your life, someone determining, for example, that online shopping was too convenient and accessible. They say, "Online shopping puts retail outlets out of business, and destroys jobs." So, they outlaw online shopping forcing you to go to the store for everything.

Accessibility transforms economies for the better, ALWAYS.
