[Inventory] Seperate armor and weapons from regaular loot and items

Well i think thats one big discussion all the time in FF14... the inventory. You have hundreds of slots but often you reach the limit and you are having no more space available.

How come? Due to delay (server structure) and responding time it takes about 4-6 seconds to throw just one loot item away. In FF14 almost every mob does drop crafting loot, thats why we quickly experiencing space problems within the inventory.

What i think would be a little help at least for a better overview, if SE would seperate weapons in one window (to quickly change class), then armor/accessoirs in one window, food/potions and then finally crafting loot like puk wings etc. pp.

so that the inventory is seperated into 4 (or five if you seperate accessoirs from armory) categorys to make it easier to finally find an item.. so that you dont have to scroll down about 200 items to finally reach the one that you want to have. (i know that you can sort your items, but i think that isnt enough, the list of the inventory is way too long to quickly find something)

    so finally my suggestion:

    Five Inventory Categories:

    Weapons
    /Armor /Accessoirs /Items/food /Loot

The inventory like we have it now i think is a real mess (very chaotic)
what do you think about this, and do you have any further suggestions (please besides just increasing the space inventory -again-)

And... make an extra taskbar for items like food and potions that you can use within battle, which you can drag&drop from your inventory (but i think that is planned yet)

Nice suggestion; it seems worthwhile to implement, anyways.

Yeah i think we are very routine-blinded and dont see things like these anymore (like SE)... but i think things like this can be done really better in a modern way of today.

and standard things like these have to be inside the game till 2.0.

Look no further! For the Mannequin system shall allow this!

(There's actually no evidence supporting my claim that armor/weapons on mannequins will be removed from the inventory. Just hopeful speculation.)

I think this is a great idea. Think I've seen it mentioned in a few other posts. BUT they are using bags or something? in 2.0 and I'm sure they've already reworked the inventory for that. So, I doubt they'll put in the development time for this feature right now.

Well i thought of this, too.. you mean that every class will have their equipped armory safed which doesnt count then anymore to the inventory slots?

but what about then if i have a robe and want to equip two classes with the same robe?
and then when you are switching classes you automatically will have equipped the armory which you last wore?

or what is meant by that? sorry english isnt my mother tongue^^

    Exactly that.

For example, if you have your full AF on your PLD "Mannequin", then the AF doesn't count in your inventory. But then for the same job, your Cobalt would be in your inventory until you equipped it, then it would be placed on your mannequin, out of your inventory, and your AF would then be placed into your inventory.

Maybe replace the inventory list with thumbnails, while we're making suggestions.

But this doesnt work for multiple use of equipment or does it?.. a robe for example which you want to use for CNJ -and- THM.

    well..
a complete other suggestion i would have for the awful interface as well could be. They made an extra icon for gobbue mount, which i think is needless if they want to add more mounts in the future. just a chocobo icon.. then an icon for all other mounts.
why is there no "teleport" icon on the right bottom (which you use very often) but other very useless icons.

make a "return" icon pop up on the right bottom when you die (which i think is good for new players)

etc. pp. so many things where i can say they can do it better -that- way. i dont understand why it isnt in there yet.

i think they are kind of routine-blinded like we are.. but a lot harder
