Download start time for early access?

For those taking part in the early, what time can the download for HS begin and can anyone confirm the total size of the update please?

I wish. For PC (and I've been checking since 2am PST every 30 mins) there is no download yet. So size: Unconfirmed. Time: Unconfirmed. And I really would like to get this done before Friday...

The servers only went down 50 or so minutes ago, just wait a few hours and you can probably begin then

I'm not sure anyone will have a exact download time, unless they work for SE but, based on past patch and 2.0 launch experience.... They kind of do the downtime in waves, right now I'm sure they took down the server to update it with a very large server side patch. When they are down with that (hours), they will probably flip the switch on their side for the client update on our computers. At some point after they will probably be testing it out to make sure it actually works, then they turn it back on for us.

While other maintenance times have ended early, I'm going to bet this one won't. Reason being, is the massive amount of people that are going to log on all at once. They are going to do it as planned, on time, because that way all their staff can watch it like a hawk.

As far as size of patch, it will be very large. Probably atleast 5gb but probably as much as 15gb or more.

considering old patches i bet it wont be up until way later but i hope this time its different since its gona be way bigger in size

I hope its up soon, I remember it took 6 hours to download A Realm Reborn, I'd rather get it out of the way sooner, rather than later.

Edit: I just noticed the launcher now shows "Final Fantasy XIV Online" rather than "Final Fantasy XIV Online A Realm Reborn"

should of used distributed patches so we blindly download heavensward when we got other patches lol

I'll probably do it 6 hours before lunch to avoid the rush. Right now the second people finds out its up eeeeeeeveryone is gonna run like headless chickens to get in "1st".
