I had done a world transfer about 6 weeks ago after not playing the game for about a year. When i see my character in the data center selection his location is brayfox longstop and when I click on him I have a connection error 90002 "connection lost to server." I have called technical support every week and after sending me on a rat race to call my ISP and my laptop manufacturer (who all have said that my configuration are perfect) the techs have finally just started saying that my issue was sent to the developers and to just wait.
I had created a character on the same server (adamantoise) and i could log into the game just fine. I gave my character log in to a very trusted friend that I went to college with and from his computer he could not log into my character, so there is obviously something wrong with my character data. I cannot log in to my character because he was in a dungeon. The last tech i spoke to over the phone said I should contact a game master and explain what was wrong and that they could reverse my world transfer and fix my character. The GMs responded with more troubleshooting that I had already done and when I informed them of this they responded with "please contact technical support".
I have never experienced such horrible customer service before in my life. I have been a FFXI player for 8 years, and a FFXIV player for about 4. All I want is my character back and no one is helping me. I don't know if this is even worth posting, but i am desperate to try anything that will bring attention to the PROPER people that might be able to help since all my attempts are for nothing. My main is Giannischichi and my ticket number from the beginning is 4905423.
