If this was just a software patch, the patches could be spread across several days or weeks to avoid downtime. However, from what I understand they're also doing hardware upgrades at the same time. As someone who has worked in a data center - yeah, you want to give yourself a 24 hour window if you can just in case something goes horribly horribly wrong.

im confused why do you want compensation for a day of maintenance?? work it out how many hours a day do u sleep in a month?? thats alot more then 1 day maintenance do u want compensation for all those hours ur sleeping aswell?? XD
