Incidentally, a free cup of coffee is EXACTLY what you'll get if you are standing around because they don't have it ready and it goes over time. They aren't going to worry about a 2c cup of coffee, but they will worry about losing that 5$ sale when the customer doesn't come back because they are not only incompetent but also stingy. This is much the same thing. The company isn't going to lose much of anything by throwing a free day out there, and it fosters goodwill.

I would be more interested to know what world you live in where you get free coffee if it takes a couple of extra minutes to make it. I love coffee and I would definitely be down with getting some for free.

You've never been to New York City, I take it, though that wasn't what I was getting at. What I was getting at was the next morning's value meal sale they would lose because they were too cheap to toss you a coupon for a free coffee after dropping the ball on their commitment to quick service. Since the person I quoted used examples from fast food, that's what I ran with. Go ahead and look up how many of them have guarantees on their service or they'll compensate you in some way. McDonald's is probably the biggest with a 60 second guarantee, but there's certainly others. Next time you are in a drive through take notice of the server hitting a button on the wall. That's his timer. They have a commitment to get you in and out quickly and believe me, if you are sitting there and complain, a manager WILL be tossing you a few coupons.

lol. im sorry, but i thought this was funny.. i doubt there will be any compensation. This is how things go when a major patch such as an expansion comes out. And it was pretty public knowledge.
