i cant seem to break 1100 on dummy as i190
i cant seem to break 1100 on dummy as i190
1. Are you doing the optimal rotation?
2. Are you doing the correct opener?
3. Are you doing the right positionals?
4. Are you using your oGCDs right as per the priority system?
5. Are you keeping BotD up with constantly shooting GK everytime it's >22s?
5. What is your weapon?
If you're asking for how to do better, we need more information sadly :c
ah. i'd post video if i knew how to record gameplay
Just be careful on that fourth point there. It is rarely ideal to use GSK just because you're over 22 seconds. You really wanna hold for 2 in b4b and 2 out after the initial opener. In a 4 minute parse you will have 12-13 gsk. If you use them all as you get them, you'll have 3-4 under b4b compared to having 7 under it. that's a difference of at least 1500 total damage which averages out to at least 6 free dps you're throwing away by popping them as they come up.
OH. And for ogcds and such- you wanna hit the buttons one after another. Don't wait on animations. You can clip those. Only time you should is after HT or Dis when the buff isn't active and you're using an ogcd attack that's not a jump - even then it's not exactly necessary.

The only thing I see that could be holding you back is 180 weapon. Other than checking your rotation, are you making sure to lock-on (or otherwise always facing enemy so you don't lose auto-attacks)? Any latency issues with double-weaving cds? Always hitting positional bonuses? It's probably not one big thing that your missing but a combination of smaller things that would close the gap. Just keep practicing the OP rotation and try to get a weapon upgrade. Maybe if there's another drg on Gilga that can check you out since you can't record that would help too. But there again, not sure how much the weapon is holding you back. Could going from 180 to 200 weapon be 100 dps difference? I'm not sure but it's possible

I think it is definitely this^
i180 to i200 is +4WD, +17str, +40Crit and -10 SS. If we were to convert all those stats to strength i180 = 846.39, i200 = 911.84... basically you're getting 65 more strength with weapon upgrade.
Friends don't let friends Dragoon
Upgrading from Hive to 200 Brionac boosted my personal dummy parses by around 40-50 on its own it felt like. Weapons are a massive upgrade and make a significant difference in the damage you deal even with just +1 weapon damage.
Before I forget to bring this up again -
With the recent Astrologian buffs (30s Arrow specifically) it's possible for us to be stuck under a 2.1 or shorter gcd for over 60 seconds of sustained dps. As Then said in his big clipping post, under this condition we SHOULD resort to the old CT-FT-FT rotation yeah? Enhanced Arrow drops us to near 2.0 - even just normal Arrow makes the gcd short enough that you can safely get 4 gsk per 60s.

Orly? That's damn good info to know there. I've never partied with an a AST in a raid setting g though so I have no idea what that buff even looks like.Upgrading from Hive to 200 Brionac boosted my personal dummy parses by around 40-50 on its own it felt like. Is the ast buff similar effect to sch selene buff? Our sch used selene in a1s last night and it really threw off the Botd timing. Also gave me 24-25 sec where I'd normally have 22-23, so that was nice. Do they stack?
wait which skills do i double weave?
