How to Dragoon Per Second: A DPS Paradigm

The only AoE you're pretty much entitled to is when you hit multiple enemies with Geirskoguls and DfDs. Dragoon's main role is, imo, to burst down specific targets (Hardmind/helm, gobwidows, gobwalkers, Jagd dolls).
