    What I'm interested in is how your sim valued SkillSpeed so high. How did you calculate DoT clipping?

    I don't calculate anything, I simply run the sim =P

    If you clip a dot the essentially the previous aura is removed, the new aura is applied (at full duration) and any buffs are snapshotted.

    I use the dot sks modifier that you gave me.

    Because that SS weight is way too high... The DET/CRT are on target (give or take 0.0x).

    How long was the sims duration and are dot ticks going off exactly every 3 seconds?

    Also, who's stats did you use? Mine or Auris? When I have the time I'm gonna go over and manually calculate the DoT ticks vs. the duration and any other inconsistencies on the train, lol.

    You don't have to ask me, you can modify the script file and run whatever duration you wish, with whatever output you wish (I suggest sim.diagnostic = true if you want detailed output).

    DoT ticks run every 3 seconds always. DoT tick timer is randomized each run. This particular set of weights was calculated with 2500 trials for each stat, with +30 to each stat being the test (if you go lower than 30 or so, its hard to get a good number, any higher and you skew stats because of stat interbalance).

    The sim was 210 seconds duration iirc (right after 2nd set of cds).

    On what basis is the sks weight too high?

    Because of DoT clips. As our skillspeed increases, so will the chances of us refreshing a DoT too early, making us miss out on potency lost. The DoT damage gain from Skillspeed is so low, that it shouldn't make up for that damage. At 2.40GCD, that's 1.98 DoT clips on average (over the course of X runs). +30 SS give us 2.02 clips, so you're always losing out on two ticks. This also means you're missing out on 70*1.3 potency ticks (or 21 Potency) each time you do a BFB cycle.

    It just seems really weird to me, as my model calculates Skillspeed to be valued much, much less.

    Also because It's valued more than Determination, just wat. I wish I had the time to look into this more ;_; I'm leaving in less than half an hour and disappearing until August, lmao.

    Well download the sim and run it.

    You can look into the timings yourself and see what seems to be the issue.

    Don't have to be online for that =P

    Also work on making the rotation better if its not up to your expectations. And maybe make some changes, who knows, maybe you'll be surprised by a better rotation.
