How to Dragoon Per Second: A DPS Paradigm

I did not believe you at first. On the dummy it didn't really seem that drastic. But in dungeon...damn. There were times where I did not even notice HOW I lost the buff. I don't main monk, but does it really feel that frantic there too with the greased lightning? Was monk as stressful as dragoon feels now? Aside from spinning mobs, the random finishers don't even feel like a problem anymore, but the timer on the Blood really drives me crazy.

Nice stuff man, what i notice to u popped BL early while IR still up, dont think IR/BL stack so just going waste an extra 15sec crit. Try popping it right after IR falls off, will hit u up alter when i get on to test some stuff XD..

Is this confirmed? Seems kinda silly if so. Especially when they don't say they don't stack. Example: Storm's Eye and Dancing Edge say they can't be stacked with each other. Plus we have something like bard that can use Straight Shot and IR stacking.

I wish I could comment on the 60 rotation but life prevented me from maximizing my time in early access ;-;

That's like saying Internal Release and Straight Shot doesn't stack. They do stack.

personally, the GCD rotation+geirskogul was easy to get down. having 2.40~ gcd is required imo because in a lot of cases you have like 0.5s leniency to pop geirskogul while keeping BoTD refreshed. at 2.42 or higher you won't be able to use geirskogul in that combo rotation, a plateau of sorts

the hard part has been optimizing buff cds; knowing where to use ir/bfb and when to save jumps to use when bfb is up has been more difficult for (mostly out of unfamiliarity) and then actually applying the rotation in fights. everything is hectic as fuck, and if you miss a positional on 4th combo, it's such a huge dps drop. having to pay attention to your proc or be penalized 190 potency adds another layer of stress to the class overall

Yeah. Dragoon is very stressful. If you don't have 2.4 GCD, it's very hard to play with. I have 2.42 and I'm noticing very slight drops in DPS. I think 2.4 will be the minimum SS required to do anything with Dragoon.

Try this. Instead of popping it straight away, keep going and do PH -> TT -> VP -> FT -> 4TH -> GK -> HT -> ID - > DIS, then pop BotD. You have 2 GCDs of BotD downtime, but you get to fit in another Geirskogul.

Could you give me a bigger snapshot of your Geirskogul usage at that point, or shoot me a video? I'm trying to compare the two approaches, but I think that they actually yield the same number of Geirskoguls. It's hard for me to be sure because my brain is seriously exhausted from all of the grinding.

I have not unlocked wt yet, but from playing yesterday it seemed that the sharper fang and claw buff text appears just as you use ft or ct, doesn't this allow you to preempt it, like bards and straighter shot?
