That's uh... Interesting. Never thought you could use Jump like that... Very useful for PvP though, for those quick ganks.

I usually use it to chunk the last 10% of a pesky ninjas hp before they can run too far away.

It literally moves your character to the mob for the 1.5seconds of animation (unlike FFXI's Jump where you are actually rooted in place despite the animation showing you diving on the mob.) As you know, this is why you would sometimes take damage from the electrofields in T10 when using Jump. In PVP, could use it to gank with Jump+Phlebotomize or something.

Hmm...will have to give it a go. I get annoying latency when i'm trying to speed through my rotation though - most luck i get is with SSD or DFD. When I pop it sometimes it doesn't use the CD but the move happens anywayI don't think the damage goes off which is a little meh, but it gets me to the boss and i can then use it again straight away or as what usually happens, i weave it between my next combo etc.

Would have to try it out I suppose. You can only do an action on the second half of Jump's animation i.e. the 'jump-back' part. The window is quite small as it's the time between after landing on the mob, and the split second you're still in range of the mob AS you're hopping back.

Or for pvp:
Piercing Talon from far-> Jump->Legsweep when in range->Piercing Talon as you are jumping back->Close the distance and use a close range GCD while they're stunned.

Could you use this to do something like GCD > Power Surge+Jump, hit your next GCD halfway through the jump, then another oGCD when you land?
You can also do geri and sometimes I was able to finish my chaos thrust might have been absolute perfect timing or just the stiance since I noticed closer jumps allow for more melee abilities.

I've actually used Jump + SSD to close almost the full range of each combined (targets in A3 move a lot...). Kind of tricky. Nobody noticed![]()

Yeah, you could conceivably teleport through an entire battlefield in 2 seconds by: reverse-EJing, SSD onto a distant mob, Jump on to a different mob, >cancel into DFD on another mob
