They'd still be paying the exact same for the expansion, delaying the payment for 5 days isn't exactly "paying for early access". I do understand the frustration, but let's not think that we're paying anything extra that we wouldn't be otherwise. No one looked at this and was like "oh man, I never would have bought this expansion if not for them giving me a headstart."
you would be surprised >..> why do you think a lot of games now are coming out with early access or 'beta play' with data that carry to the main game, it is a working selling point, i got the CE for the physical collectors items, but i have herd seen and talked to peeps who are only preordering HW sole for the EA, while only a few are waiting until 2 weeks after launch so they can pay probably a lot cheeper and get into the servers after the masses have flooded all the areas.
so yes, people have pre-order mainly for the EA, the headstart means they can play over the weekend, and not on a work week.
Sometimes you just got to have Some fun
In the case of the early access games that are becoming a trend, it's not 5 days of early access, it's typically more of a pay to beta test, which isn't the case here. And what I meant with my post is that you didn't pay for early access. You may have preordered to get it, but that doesn't cost you anything above and beyond what you're already paying for the expansion, whether you get it now or in two weeks, which was what Lexia's post was about.
