If we have an armory system, then the remaining FF staples are:
    Whips (Blue Mage/Dancer)
    Katanas (Samurai)
    One-handed Axes (Beast Master/Berserker)
    Rapiers (Red Mage)
    Animator (Puppetmaster)
    Cloths (Dancer?)

They can get creative but just remember you need a new weapon category to have a new job, unless they make Red Mage and rapiers are a subdivision of swords similar to how SMN and SCH books are separated.

Weapons are easy. The way the game is set up each weapon just needs to have a different name (maybe not even that much), and any job can have the same weapon type as any other.

However, a Time Mage converted directly from Tactics/V into FFXIV would end up something like:

    Haste - increased skillspeed/spellspeed
Haste II - AoE version that affects all party members
Slow - give the target the Slow status
Slow II - AoE version that affects all enemies in an area or near the target
Regen - their own version of the WHM spell that would probably get a different name
Stop - causes Stun (make it the same as PLD stun just because someone else needs as good a Stun)
Speed - Increased movement speed (self only)
    Don't Move/Immobilize - causes Bind
    Don't Act/Disable - causes Pacification (6 seconds duration)
    Mute - causes Silence
Float - since full damage immunity isn't likely, just prevents forced movement (similar to Tempered Will)
Reflect - enemies already have it in two flavors: reflect physical damage and reflect magical damage. This one would just reflect a portion of magical damage, but severely reduced compared to the enemies' OP abilities
Quick - next weaponskill or spell has no cast time and no re-cast
Comet - unaspected damage on a single target
Gravity - earth-based damage on a single target
Meteo - remove the 'r' at the end for a new spell; AoE version of Comet
Teleport - instant 25-30 yalm movement in the direction the caster is currently facing

ast has gravity spell, cards that increase attack speed, reduce cooldown of skills, etc.
slows/many debuffs dont work on bosses, so time mage would be pointless job to have.
so they added some time spells to ast.

She's referring to AST's limit break, I believe.

I think as well AST is a Astrologer+Time Mage+Corsair but let there be dreams..

Grey_Cain said them all already, eheh

Though, if healer, a magicskill that would be edgily interesting would be a bubble, like Sacred Soil and Asylum, where "time stops". Inside it you wouldn't loose or gain HP/MP/TP but once you get out or it ends you'll get all the damage/heal/TP/MP at once. Like what people with a lag spike experience LOL.

Another skill that could work on both healer or DPS is something that could be called Futuresight which makes you, or a party member if healer, dodge the next hit.
