Alts Transferring Into Balmung/Gilgamesh(?)

I know Balmung and Gilgamesh are currently locked down from character creation and transfers for the foreseeable future due to server capacity. Do you think in the near future you could allow for people to transfer in characters if they already have a character on the server? Since you can't be on both at once, it wouldn't be taking up space.

in my opinion...if you have at least one character on a server that is locked the game should let you create alts on that server since one account can only be logged into one character at a time. I am not sure why SE doesn't have some sort of creation bypass to work that out. Like you mentioned one account can only take up one space on the server at any given time so it doesn't matter how many characters you have beyond the initial character you created/transferred when the server was open.

You obtained your spot so you should be allowed to make your alts...especially since this game charges you more per month to have 8 character slots unless you are legacy status.

Once you have a character on that server you should be allowed to create the other 7 alts if you want no matter if it is locked (or ends up locked). Having to pay money to transfer seems silly since you already take up one space on the server with your character...having alts does nothing to the 'active' server population. One account with one character on the server = population +1 on that server. One account with 8 characters on the same server still = population +1 on that server.

I was placed on balmung when fabul and Besaid merged in 1.0 and stuck around till about 2.something and then transferred my main to cactaur. All of my Alts (3) are on balmung still so I can definetely see exactly where your coming from. My plan is to just use jump potions for my balmung alt so that I can still play with friends there and keep my main on cactaur. These potions are probably meant to provide people like use with an option even though it seems like a money grab rather than just fixing the issue.

Also a possibility for sure. Basically there could be a lot more covered under overcrowded than just how many people are logged on simultaneously.
